Two Gods, The Masters of Balenciaga and Givenchy

I feel that fashion has no value unless it stimulates me and inspires me in some way. This is what separates fashion from just clothing. Clothing is a necessity in order to stay warm and prevent indecency. For me fashion is a necessity to feel alive. I think the most powerful fashion designers invoke feelings in me. Right now I am in love with Nicholas Ghesquière of Balenciaga and Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, they are truly Gods. Their designs invoke feelings in me that no fashion designers ever will be able to. They have the ability to create fashion that is a right mix of avant-garde and wearable. Tisci has breathed life into Haute Couture and Ghesquière has churned out covetable items that I would eat nothing but ramen for a year in order to buy his work.

Why I Don't Have Too Many Female Friends, Hussein Chalayan is Awesome

So last night I went to a cancer benefit with one of my friends. The dress code wasn't super dressy so I wore a great Junya Watanabe top from  S/S 2003 (wow it's really that old, but still awesome), a black Habitual denim miniskirt, worn in Luchese cowboy boots (turned down), a necklace by Young of the Year and a black Balenciaga motorcycle bag. Now needless to say there were a lot of clubbing-looking types in there. Most of the men at this event were wearing Affliction clothing, which I really can't stand. Don't men realize that they would look way sexier in an Alexander McQueen t-shirt and PRPs jeans than some horrible shirt they got at Nordstrom that looks like it was scribbled on. I feel like wearing Affliction is pretty much close to wearing all Ed Hardy, it makes you look like a d-bag. I have been shopping at the Saks Fifth Avenue Men's Store from time to time and I say boys save your money, invest in a really nice piece of designer clothing and stop buying the Affliction because it's an affliction to my eyes.

At one point I was standing in an area with my friend talking and some security person said we were a fire hazard. Well there was no other place to stand and I think the real fire hazard in the place was all the synthetic clothing, ha. There was no food included, you had to pay for that separately even though the tickets weren't cheap, fuck that. Luckily I brought two emergency hard-boiled eggs that I scarfed down in a bathroom stall. As I was waiting for to go to the bathroom I started talking to two really pretty blonde women and then there was this really unattractive out of shape chick in front of me. The other two girls left and it was finally my turn in the stall, luckily since I needed to eat, and I heard the unattractive chick mention to her friend that the conversation I had with the two other girls was mind-numbing and she started mocking what I was saying. What a stupid C**T (and I rarely use that word). This is why I am not friends with that many women because a lot of women are catty bitches and most of the time the women that are the worst are not even pretty. They usually are unattractive, slut faces. I like hanging out with guys because they know when to keep their mouths shut. Women tend to say things like "Oh are you pregnant?"--when in actuality someone is just fat. Men they know they would get their ass kicked if they said that shit.

Anyhow one of my dreams is to makeover the club and social scene. I would like to see everyone dressed in Junya Watanabe, Heidi Slimane suits, Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan and Rodarte. Below are some of the clothes that people should wear out :

And here are some clothes that should never see the light of day, unless you live on the reality show the "Jersey Shore" or are an MMA fighter that is a DJ on the weekends:

Jacket Obsession

If someone asked me what I purchasing or thinking about purchasing best, I honestly could not choose. I am in love with handbags ( so much so that I purchased some things I really shouldn't have), I adore shoes (again spent a lot of money on sneakers that I probably shouldn't have), but one thing I love as much are jackets. I have spent a lot of money on a jacket before and not had any regrets at all. If I was given $2000 to spend in a store I would blow all of the money on a great jacket. I own a lot of great ones, but there are still some that I will continue to lust for. The jackets I lust after I try on in dressing rooms and take photos of myself, so even if I never own it, I will at least "have worn the jacket" in a picture and in some respect that makes me feel like I have ownership. Here some of my favorites.

A Jacket I own:

(All of my own clothes, Rick Owens leather jacket,

(Opening Ceremony Meets Pendleton Men's Jacket, Lykke Li concert t-shirt,

Jackets I wish I owned, but at least I do for five minutes in a Barney's New York dressing room:

Some more jackets I would like to buy:

And then a jacket I regret not buying:

(awesome Marc Jacobs leather jacket, I didn't buy :-(
Perfect and made me feel hot as hell in the Nordstrom dressing room)

The only saving grace for me to be living in a horrible climate where winter sucks ass, is knowing that I will get to wear all of my amazing jackets. After all if I lived in Hawaii, I might be way happier, but when I get SAD (Seasonal Affected Disorder) I comfort myself in a supple Italian leather designer jacket.
